Rules of Engagement
Verafy works because people show up with good intentions. These rules protect everyone in the community. Every user accepts them inside the app before they can use Verafy, and this page is that same text, published so anyone can read it before they install.
Don’t be a jerk. Abuse, harassment, scams, threats, or misuse of other users’ information may result in permanent removal from Verafy.
-
Be respectful
Treat every person you meet through Verafy with the same respect you expect. Healthy connections start with basic human decency.
-
No harassment or threats
Harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, or any behavior intended to make another person feel unsafe is a permanent-ban offence.
-
No impersonation or fraud
Do not impersonate another person, business, or entity. Do not operate fake profiles or use Verafy to run scams of any kind.
-
No harmful content
Sharing illegal, hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful content is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal.
-
Respect contact information
If a connection shares their contact details with you, use that information only to communicate with them directly. Do not share, sell, or misuse it.
-
Do not bypass safety controls
Attempting to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or abuse Verafy’s safety or privacy systems is prohibited and may constitute a legal violation.
-
Use BLE responsibly
Verafy uses Bluetooth to connect nearby people. Do not attempt to flood, jam, or interfere with BLE discovery in any environment.
Enforcement
Violations are reviewed by Dejify, Inc. Consequences range from a warning to permanent suspension depending on severity. Illegal activity will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
To report a user, tap their profile and select “Report.” Every report is reviewed by a human.
Reporting and contact
To report abuse from outside the app, or to appeal a suspension, contact support@verafy.me. Child-safety concerns are handled under our Child Safety Standards, and what we collect is described in the Privacy Policy.
